Assembly I or II
Located in Sarasota, FL
Salary: $20-$24/hour
We are partnered with a healthcare/medical device manufacturer in Sarasota and are hiring for Assembler I & Assembler II positions. These roles work within the production team to assemble electrical and electro-mechanical units and sub-assemblies using diagrams, drawings, and written instructions.
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM (30-minute lunch; overtime possible)
Pay: $20-$24/Hour DOE
Position Summary:
Assemblers will perform electrical, electronic, or mechanical assembly tasks ranging from basic to moderately complex, depending on experience level. Work includes wiring, soldering, component placement, and building sub-assemblies and final assemblies while following diagrams, engineering drawings, sketches, and verbal instructions.
Key Responsibilities:

Perform mechanical and/or electronic assembly of units and sub-units.

Read and interpret assembly drawings, production instructions, part lists, and diagrams.

Determine wire lengths; perform wiring, crimping, pinning, cutting cables, or soldering as needed.

Select and prepare components for integration into assemblies.

Review pick lists, identify shortages, and report discrepancies.

Maintain monthly production schedules and communicate any obstacles to leadership.

Use judgment to determine the best method to assemble units based on requirements.

Perform tasks involving medium to heavy components when required.

Follow all quality, inventory control, and safety procedures.

Maintain a clean and safe work environment and follow hazardous waste and emergency procedures.

May assist or train lower-level assemblers.

Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Assembler I:

High School Diploma or equivalent.
-
1–3 years of electronic or mechanical assembly experience preferred.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Assembler II:
-
High School Diploma or GED required; Associate degree or technical training preferred.

3–5 years of mechanical/electronic assembly experience.

Familiarity with soldering techniques and standard hand tools (pliers, strippers, cutters, etc.).

Basic computer skills; Microsoft Office experience preferred.

Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Ability to follow directions, work independently, and stay self-motivated.
Both positions require passing a background check and drug test.
