Mechanical Assembly Technician

Location: Chelmsford, MA

Hours: M-F, 7AM – 3:30PM

Pay: $23 - $25 per hour DOE

Full Time, Temp to Perm

 

 

Summary:

The Mechanical Assembly Technician is an Experienced manufacturing position and will be a key team member in manufacturing of our Client's product line of industrial equipment. 

 

Reports to:

Production Supervisor

 

Requirements of the Mechanical Assembly Technician:

• Technical High School plus 3 years relevant experience required. 
• Capable of multitasking within a fast-paced, manufacturing group.
• Mechanical assembly skills with the ability to work with some electronics
• Highly skilled operation of hand and power tools.
• Able to read mechanical and some electrical drawings.
• Proficient in the English language, both written and spoken.

 

Essential Functions of the Mechanical Assembly Technician:

• Assemble various components and sub-assemblies for product lines.
• Assist Engineering Department with assembly of prototypes and test fixtures.
• Prepare and pack product for domestic and international shipping.
• Pull and verify part kits from the stock room as required.

 

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to use fingers and hands to constantly operate production machinery and an array of hand and power tools.
• Must be able to move up to 50 pounds as required.
• Must be able to constantly position self while working on machines, including, but not limited to, underneath and inside machinery.
• Must be able to constantly work in a stationary position.
• Overtime opportunities to support the Manufacturing Schedule.
