Job Summary:

The Cherry Picker Operator is responsible for safely and efficiently operating an elevated order picker or cherry picker forklift to retrieve and store materials, products, or inventory within the warehouse. This position ensures accurate order fulfillment, maintains inventory organization, and upholds all safety and operational standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate a cherry picker forklift to pick, move, and store products at various heights.

• Accurately pull customer orders based on pick tickets, RF scanners, or warehouse management systems (WMS).

• Load and unload pallets, cases, or products safely.

• Conduct daily equipment inspections and report maintenance needs.

• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.

• Follow all warehouse safety procedures and company policies.

• Assist with inventory counts, restocking, and labeling as needed.

• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth operations.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).

• Valid forklift/cherry picker certification or ability to obtain certification.

• Prior experience operating a cherry picker or other powered industrial trucks.

• Ability to lift up to [50–75 lbs] and work at elevated heights.

• Basic math, reading, and computer skills (experience with RF scanners preferred).

• Strong attention to detail, reliability, and teamwork.

• Warehouse environment with exposure to varying temperatures and noise levels.

• Requires standing, bending, lifting, and operating machinery for extended periods.
