Job description:

Express Employment Professionals is seeking a Survey Manager for our client in the Dartmouth area for a Fulltime Permanent role.

 

Education:

Survey Engineering Degree/Civil Engineer or equivalent

 

Essential Skills:

• Technical Proficiency – Expertise in operating survey equipment and survey software
• Computer Skills – Proficiency in computer software such as AutoCAD, and other data analysis tools
• Analytical – Analyze data, perform calculations and apply principles of trigonometry
• Problem-solving to address challenges in data collection and analysis
• Attention to Detail – A meticulous approach to ensure the accuracy and precision measurements and reports
• Communication Skills – Strong written and verbal communication to convey information clearly
• Teamwork and Leadership – Ability to work effectively in teams and supervise other survey personnel

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervision – Lead and coordinate survey team
• Data Collection – Perform field surveys and gather precise information
• Data Analysis – Analyze and interpret survey data
• Project Planning – Design and implement survey plans for construction layout
• Develop survey models - to be implemented with machine controls systems for equipment
• Construction Support – Stake out construction projects, conduct volume analysis, project quantities
• Reporting and Documentation – Prepare detailed notes of surveys, calculations, and reports for staff and or clients
• Quality Assurance – Ensure surveying activities comply with relevant industry standards
• Equipment management – Maintain and care for survey equipment

• Schedule is Monday to Friday from 7:00AM-5 PM
• Full-time hours
• Competitive pay range based on experience
• Payrate: CA$75,000.00 - CA$95,000.00 per Year

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Dartmouth, NS: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:

• AutoCAD: 4 years (required)
• Survey Manager: 5 years (required)
