Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Auto/Diesel Technician with 3 or more years’ experience working on diesel engines to join our shop in DeFuniak Springs. Our business services both automotive and diesel vehicles, and the right candidate will be comfortable performing diagnostics, maintenance, and repair on diesel engines as well as standard automotive systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel engines and systems (fuel, air, exhaust, cooling)

• Work on both light automotive and heavy-duty diesel vehicles/equipment

• Perform oil changes, fluid checks, brake & suspension work, electrical diagnostics on diesel platforms

• Interpret technical drawings/repair manuals, use diagnostic tools and scan equipment

• Maintain clean, safe, organized work area; keep accurate repair records

• Advise on maintenance best practices and provide estimates to customers

• Mentor less-experienced technicians (optional) and support team growth

Required Experience & Skills:

• Minimum 3 years of hands-on diesel engine experience

• Strong knowledge of diesel systems, heavy-duty components, and standard automotive systems

• Ability to work independently and efficiently, with attention to accuracy and reliability

• Basic technician’s tool set; additional diesel-specific tools a plus

• Valid driver’s license and a clean motor vehicle record (MVR)

• Good communication skills and customer-service mindset
