CDL Driver Class A

Job Summary: This position is with a well-established produce distributor that supplies fresh citrus and other fruits to major retailers, wholesalers, and foodservice partners across the region. The CDL Class A Driver is responsible for safely transporting produce to and from distribution centers, customers, and partner locations while ensuring all products are delivered in excellent condition and on time. This role requires professionalism, attention to detail, and adherence to all DOT and company safety standards.
Responsibilities:
- Operate a commercial motor vehicle (Class A) in compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations.
- Transport to and from specified locations, ensuring timely deliveries.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure road safety.
- Maintain accurate logs of working hours, vehicle service, and mileage, in compliance with DOT regulations.
- Secure cargo properly to prevent damage or loss during transit.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and other team members.
- Report any incidents, accidents, or mechanical issues promptly.
- Always adhere to company safety standards and procedures.
Schedule & Pay:
· Schedule: Monday – Saturday | 8:00 AM – 5:0PM (Overtime Likely)
· Pay: $18.00 P/H
Qualifications:
· Valid CDL Class A license.
· Clean driving record with no major violations.
· Minimum [X] years of commercial driving experience (adjust as needed).
· Knowledge of DOT rules and regulations.
· Ability to drive long distances and work flexible hours.
· Excellent time management and organizational skills.
· Must pass a background check and drug screening.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with refrigerated, flatbed, or tanker trailers
- Basic mechanical knowledge for minor roadside troubleshooting.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
- Ability to climb in and out of the truck safely.
