Industrial Electrician (with PLC Experience)

Job Summary:
Experienced Industrial Electrician skilled in installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting electrical systems, control panels, and automated machinery in industrial environments. Proficient in PLC programming, diagnostics, and system integration to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable plant operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, repair, and maintain electrical systems, equipment, and components to meet production needs and safety standards.

• Troubleshoot electrical issues using schematics, wiring diagrams, and test equipment.

• Program, modify, and maintain PLC systems (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, etc.) to optimize machine performance.

• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on motors, drives, sensors, and control systems.

• Read and interpret blueprints, control drawings, and electrical schematics.

• Work with maintenance and engineering teams to improve equipment reliability and efficiency.

• Maintain documentation for electrical systems, control logic, and equipment changes.

• Ensure compliance with NEC, OSHA, and plant safety regulations.

• Assist in upgrades, installations, and commissioning of new machinery and automation systems.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Journeyman or Master Electrician license (preferred or as required by state).

• 3+ years of industrial electrical experience in manufacturing, food processing, or similar environments.

• Proficiency with PLC programming and troubleshooting (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or similar).

• Strong knowledge of VFDs, motor controls, sensors, and instrumentation.

• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics.

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

• Familiarity with lockout/tagout and other industrial safety procedures.
