Finish Grade Dozer Operator

Location: Tallahassee, FL
Schedule: Full-Time | Monday – Friday 
Pay: $20 - $27 per hour (based on experience)

Job Summary:

We are currently seeking an experienced Finish Grade Dozer Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have proven experience operating heavy equipment with precision, particularly in fine grading and finish work for construction or site development projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Operate dozers and other heavy equipment to perform finish grade work to exact specifications.

  • Read and interpret blueprints, grade stakes, and site plans to achieve required elevations.

  • Perform routine equipment inspections and basic maintenance to ensure safe operation.

  • Communicate effectively with site supervisors, grade checkers, and other crew members.

  • Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work area.

  • Assist with other duties on-site as needed.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience operating a dozer, specifically performing finish grade work.

  • Experience with GPS or laser grading systems preferred.

  • Strong understanding of construction site layouts, slopes, and drainage requirements.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

  • Ability to pass pre-employment screening (drug test/background check, if applicable).

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to sit for extended periods and operate machinery controls.

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
