Quality Control Technician 

 

  • Evaluation Hire 
  • Schedule is 8:00am-5:00pm Monday-Friday 
  • Pay is $25-30/hour based on skills and experience 

The Quality Technician will work to ensure the overall quality of manufactured products. Quality Technician will also support and promote plant wide continuous improvement efforts and other key business processes. Our client is a small company where one will get to wear many hats- a true teammate is required for this position.

Quality Assurance / Quality Control Responsibilities / Duties:

  • Lead and drive the non-conforming material system including 8D’s and customer response.
  • Interact and work closely with entire operations team to emphasize processes and procedures that are to be followed. 
  • Direct contact with customer. Must maintain cooperative and collaborative culture with our customers and suppliers.
  • Responsible to maintain ISO9001 and CQI-9 certification status.
  • Assist with the preparation of customer first article inspection(FAI) reports, i.e. PPAP and other new product reports.
  • Participate and conduct Internal QMS audits.
  • Work on continual improvements to enhance the quality system.

Operations\ Analysis Support Responsibilities:

  • Ability to collect, compile, and analyze data to determine both root cause and corrective action to prevent recurrence.
  • Working knowledge in the practical application of SPC, GR&R, Engineering Drawings, Inspection Plans, control plans, PFMEA, control charts, and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP).
  • Foster an atmosphere of safety-first. Help to ensure that safety regulations are followed. and maintain OSHA documentation.
  • Manage measurement system, hardness tester and temperature recording systems used to ensure product complies to customer requirements.
  • Perform routine internal audits to maintain a system that ensures a quality product.

Job Requirements:

  • 3 – 5 years of Quality Control experience in manufacturing.
  • Working knowledge and experience with a Quality Management System (QMS); i.e. ISO 9001:2015.
  • Proficient in Microsoft: Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel and Word.
  • Experience with developing Quality Control Procedures and training
