Finishing Operator

Salary: $19.00 DOE

Finishing Operator – 3rd Shift (10:00 PM – 6:30 AM)
Training on 2nd Shift
Start Date: Possibly November 10
Pay: $19/hr (Depending on Experience)

 

We’re seeking a Finishing Operator to join a busy manufacturing team that produces high-quality metal components. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in precision work and enjoys hands-on production tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Inspect cast parts for surface imperfections such as excess metal, pits, or inclusions.

• Use hand and air tools to grind, blend, and smooth surfaces to meet quality standards.

• Sandblast and re-inspect finished parts to ensure proper finish and conformance.

• Follow detailed work instructions and maintain a safe, clean workspace.

• Work collaboratively with teammates to meet production goals and deadlines.

Skills Required:

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

• Ability to read and understand measurements and work instructions.

• Experience using hand tools, grinders, and sandblasting equipment preferred.

• Good hand-eye coordination and mechanical aptitude.

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods.

Physical Requirements:

• Regular lifting, bending, and standing throughout the shift.

• Manual dexterity for precise finishing work.

• Visual ability to detect small surface imperfections.

• Comfortable working in a production environment (noise, dust, PPE required).

Equipment Used:

Hand tools, pneumatic grinders, deburring tools, sandblasting equipment, calipers, and inspection tools.
