Salary: 24.25/hr.

Our client, a manufacturer in the Etobicoke area is looking for Mechanical Assemblers to join their organization for their day and afternoon shifts for a duration of 6 months with potential for long term.  If you have experience assembling mechanical parts this role could be for you.

 

What’s Offered

• Day and Afternoon shift available
  • Days - Monday to Friday 6:30am to 3:30pm
  • Afternoon - Monday to Friday 4:00pm to 12:00am
• $24.25/hr. for day shift, $25.25/hr. for afternoon shift

 Key Responsibilities:

• Put together basic mechanical parts using hand tools and power tools. Fasten screws, bolts, and other hardware, making sure everything is secure, properly aligned, and tightened to spec
• Check parts carefully for any defects to ensure they meet quality standards.
• Keep clear records of the work you complete, any issues you notice, and quality concerns
• Always follow safety procedures when using tools, equipment, and materials. Report hazards right away
• Take part in training to learn how to read simple blueprints and Bills of Materials (BOLs)
• Safely use cranes, ladders, and other equipment to move and position materials during assembly
• Stay on track with department goals while consistently following quality and safety standards
• Follow all company policies and rules at all times

 

Qualifications:

• Up to 1 year of experience working in an assembly environment
• Mechanically inclined
• Experience working with hand tools
• Strong mathematical and computer skills
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to read blueprints
