The General Operator loads, operates, and unloads pipe processing equipment to maintain required quality and quantity standards.

The main missions of the role are:

• Check safety controls and instructions for proper operation.
• Produces part by positioning or aligning workpiece against stops or die and operates equipment.
• Inspects parts visually for obvious defects.
• Performs detailed (final gage, bend gage, handheld gages, etc.) dimensional inspection when necessary to determine quality of product.
• Notifies GAP Leader, set up personnel or supervisor when defects exceed acceptable limits and any major incident of equipment malfunction.
• Keeps count of completed product on each run and records and disposes of defective product in designated manner. If required, packs parts into designated container and records information in line with IATF16949 labeling and/or packing instructions.
• Adheres to and stays abreast of all company policies.
• Maintains clean and safe working environment in line with company policies.
• Submit/implement at least two Continuous improvement ideas per month.
• When line is down, may clean and paint equipment, clean and seal floors, or paint lines around equipment.
• May be assigned to cut up scrap
• Manually or by hand truck move materials, supplies, and finished goods to designated places in the facility.
• May be assigned to count parts, write tickets or audit during inventory.
• May be assigned to other job duties as requested.

Schedule is 6am/6pm Monday/Friday with some overtime on the weekends.
