Job Summary:We are seeking a highly skilled and versatile Facilities Maintenance Technician with strong plumbing experience and a broad range of general maintenance abilities to support the upkeep and efficient operation of a residential community and affiliated thrift store. The ideal candidate will have a wide-ranging skill set and be able to assist in various areas to ensure a safe, functional, and comfortable environment for residents, staff, and customers.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform plumbing repairs, including fixtures, leaks, drainage issues, and routine maintenance.
Respond promptly to maintenance service requests, including plumbing, heating/cooling, electrical, and general repairs.
Complete general maintenance tasks such as minor electrical work, carpentry, appliance repair, and basic building upkeep.
Maintain accurate maintenance logs, service records, and documentation.
Ensure all systems and repairs comply with safety, building code, and environmental regulations.
Coordinate with vendors and contractors when specialized services are required.
Assist with seasonal maintenance tasks (filter changes, thermostat checks, insulation inspections, etc.).
Qualifications:
Strong plumbing repair and maintenance experience required.
General facilities, property, or building maintenance experience preferred (2+ years).
Broad mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot various issues.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
Familiarity with residential and light commercial systems.
