Bookkeeper

Located in Salisbury, MD

Salary: $25-$30/hr

Overview:
We’re seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Bookkeeper to manage the financial records of our organization with accuracy and integrity. The ideal candidate is highly organized, proficient in accounting software, and able to handle multiple priorities while maintaining a strong attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:

• Record day-to-day financial transactions and maintain accurate ledgers

• Reconcile bank, credit card, and vendor accounts monthly

• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring timely and accurate payments

• Prepare and process payroll, employee reimbursements, and related tax filings

• Maintain and organize all financial documentation and support audit readiness

• Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports

• Monitor cash flow and track budgets against expenditures

• Work closely with management to provide insights into financial performance

• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal financial regulations

• Support end-of-year closing and coordinate with external accountants as needed

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Bookkeeper, Accounting Clerk, or similar role

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and bookkeeping best practices

• Proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, and/or other accounting software

• Excellent organizational and time-management skills

• High attention to accuracy and detail

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment

• Associate’s degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
