Job Description:
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Accounting Specialist to join a locally owned and operated company in Evansville, IN, providing innovative solutions to clients through high-quality design, fabrication, and customer service. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment and wants to support accurate financial operations while contributing to the company’s growth.

Schedule: Full-time, Monday – Friday, day shift

Key Responsibilities:

• Process accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) transactions accurately and timely

• Prepare and post journal entries, reconcile accounts, and assist with month-end close

• Maintain accurate financial records and assist in preparing reports for management

• Monitor and manage invoices, statements, and payment schedules

• Support payroll processing and expense reporting

• Communicate with vendors and clients regarding billing and payments

• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and year-end audit preparation

• Provide general administrative support within the accounting department as needed

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of accounting experience (AP, AR, general ledger, or bookkeeping)

• Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and QuickBooks (or similar accounting software)

• Strong organizational and time management skills

• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy

• Ability to maintain confidentiality and work independently
