Security Guard

Located in Tigard, OR

We are seeking a professional, dependable, and observant Security Guard to help maintain a safe and secure environment for our company’s property, employees, and visitors.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong situational awareness, sound judgment, professionalism, and a commitment to safety and integrity. You should be comfortable staying alert throughout your shift and responding calmly and appropriately to security concerns or unexpected situations.

Responsibilities

• Monitor company property and help maintain a safe and secure environment.

• Regularly patrol buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations.

• Watch for signs of suspicious activity, unauthorized access, theft, vandalism, or disturbances.

• Monitor and control access to building entrances, exits, and vehicle gates.

• Respond to security incidents and disturbances in accordance with company policies and applicable laws.

• Report suspicious or unusual activity to management and appropriate authorities when necessary.

• Maintain accurate records and reports of security-related incidents.

• Remain alert and attentive throughout the assigned shift.

• Take lawful and appropriate action to protect life and property.

• Follow established safety, security, and emergency procedures.

• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Previous security, military, law enforcement, or related experience is preferred.

• Strong observation and situational-awareness skills.

• Ability to remain calm and exercise good judgment under pressure.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Professional appearance and conduct.

• Strong commitment to safety, integrity, and confidentiality.

• Ability to follow procedures and respond appropriately to changing situations.

• Must maintain any required security licenses or certifications.
