Location: Fort Myers, FL
Schedule: Monday – Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Express Employment Professionals of Fort Myers is partnering with a private medical practice to hire a Bilingual Medical Scheduler (Spanish/English). The ideal candidate must be fluent in both Spanish and English, with strong verbal and written communication skills in both languages. This position requires excellent customer service and the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with a diverse patient population.

Key Responsibilities:

• Answer and manage a high volume of incoming calls (500+ daily) in both English and Spanish

• Schedule patient appointments for:

  • Incoming calls

  • Reschedules

  • Same-day urgent visits

• Work daily waitlists/ticklers to ensure patients are scheduled promptly

• Collect payments over the phone; inform patients of outstanding balances and escalate when necessary

• Review provider schedules to ensure all slots are filled

• Verify appointment schedules in Athena and QGenda for accuracy

• Register new patients and update demographics and insurance information

• Work task buckets and appropriately label tasks

• Page doctors with messages, handle consults, and follow up as needed

• Maintain strict patient confidentiality

• Process monthly “lost to follow-up” reports

• Send new patient paperwork, sympathy cards, lab orders, and requisitions via mail or fax

• Assist with additional administrative duties or special projects as needed

Requirements:

• Fluent in Spanish and English (spoken and written) — this is a mandatory requirement

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Strong background in customer service

• Previous experience in a medical office setting preferred

• Comfortable working in a high-volume, fast-paced environment

• Proficient with scheduling systems and basic computer applications
