Express Employment Professionals of Ithaca, NY is recruiting for multiple restaurants for the role of Kitchen Supervisor.  We are seeking experienced and dedicated Kitchen Supervisor candidates to oversee the operations of the kitchen. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in food service and management, ensuring that the kitchen runs smoothly while maintaining high standards of food quality and safety. This role requires effective leadership skills to train and develop staff, manage inventory, and provide exceptional customer service.  These are hands-on roles, working alongside the Sous Chef and other line cooks in the preparation of food.  Typically 5-day work week -- long term opportunities.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise kitchen staff, including cooks and dishwashers ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to food safety standards
• Oversee food production processes to maintain quality and consistency in all menu items
• Manage inventory levels, including ordering supplies and monitoring stock to minimize waste
• Work in food preparation including sautéing, creating sauces, main dishes and other areas of the operations
• Assist in training new hires and with ongoing training for existing staff to enhance their skills in food preparation 
• Collaborate with the front-of-house team to ensure seamless service and address any customer concerns promptly
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area in compliance with health regulations
• Follow all food safety regulations
