Woodworking Machine Operator

 

Compensation: $17-23/hr

 

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate a variety of woodworking machines, including planer, jointer, table saw, router, sander, moulder, and shaper
• Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
• Cut wood materials to precise specifications
• Occasionally drive to job sites (valid driver’s license required)

Expected Outcomes

• Accurate and efficient production of wood components
• Safe and effective use of machinery
• Timely support for delivery and installation at job sites

Required Skills:

• Ability to read plans and drawings
• Strong math skills and proficiency with measuring tools (e.g., ruler, tape measure)

Required Experience:

• Prior experience with woodworking tools and machinery
• Higher compensation available for candidates with expertise in machine setup and matching wood molding profiles

• Clear and professional communication
• Attention to detail and craftsmanship
• Reliability and ability to work well in a team

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted
