A precision manufacturing company in the Round Rock area is seeking an experienced Polisher to join their production team. This position plays a key role in the finishing process, ensuring that all parts meet surface quality standards before shipment or further fabrication.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, takes pride in producing high-quality work, and has hands-on experience polishing or finishing metal components.

 

Schedule: 2^nd shift | Monday – Friday | 3:00pm – 12:00am
Pay: $22.00 per hour

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Polish and finish parts and assemblies using hand and power tools to remove defects and prepare surfaces for subsequent processes.
• Apply appropriate pressure and technique while preserving part dimensional tolerances.
• Inspect, maintain, and replace polishing machine consumables (belts, pads, abrasives) to ensure optimal performance.
• Collaborate with machining/engineering teams to design and use holding fixtures and attachments that improve polishing efficiency and consistency.
• Follow safety and environmental policies and wear required PPE (safety glasses, ear protection, face mask, etc.).
• Work as part of a team to meet departmental goals for quality and on-time delivery.
• Perform a variety of finishing tasks as assigned; adapt to changing priorities and tasks

 

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior experience (preferred: 1–2 years) in metal finishing, polishing, or similar manufacturing/production roles.
• Comfortable using manual and powered polishing tools and measuring devices (calipers, gauges).
• Strong attention to detail and pride in producing high-quality surface finishes.
• Ability to follow written instructions and basic blueprints/worksheets.
• Able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs as required.
• Willingness to follow all safety procedures and wear PPE.
