We are seeking a highly organized and professional Receptionist for an optometry practice in Olney, MD.

This is a Part-Time position (4 days per week).   It is Temp-to-Perm.

Duties:

• Check patients in/out for appointments; verify insurance and demographic information, collect co-payments and patient balances
• Manage incoming calls, schedule appointments, and manage appointment calendar
• Assist with medical administrative support tasks, such as filing and organizing patient records
• Other general admin duties, as needed.

Qualifications:

• Experience in a front desk, reception, or customer-facing role supporting administrative duties and clerical tasks
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Outlook
• Prior knowledge of insurance verification NOT required.
• Attention to detail, professional courtesy, and proper telephone etiquette
