Salary: $22-$24/hour

The Purchasing Specialist is responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing materials and products to support operations and customer needs. This role requires a detail-oriented professional who can manage supplier relationships, ensure on-time deliveries, maintain inventory levels, and support continuous cost and process improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Negotiate pricing, delivery terms, and quality standards with domestic and international suppliers.
• Create and manage purchase orders for stock, projects, and service requirements.
• Maintain vendor relationships and resolve issues such as shortages, delays, and returns.
• Monitor and adjust inventory levels to meet production and service demands.
• Collaborate with Accounting, Receiving, and Customer Service to reconcile orders and resolve discrepancies.
• Track vendor performance, pricing, and part updates in ERP/MRP systems.
• Maintain purchasing records, SOPs, and reporting tools to support operational accuracy and compliance.
• Follow all company quality and safety standards, reporting any issues promptly.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field preferred.
• 5+ years of purchasing experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment.
• Experience working with international suppliers and ERP/MRP systems.
• Strong negotiation, analytical, and organizational skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Excellent attention to detail, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs. and work in a warehouse setting when needed.
