Specialized Recruiting Group of Walla Walla is searching for a Project Manager to join a growing construction company.

This person must possess fluency in construction terminology and be capable of performing hands-on tasks as needed. Good phone etiquette and customer service needed. Will be chasing down deliveries, speaking with vendors, and representing the company. Needs to be very detail oriented, a problem solver, have a sense of humor.

Responsibilities:

• Project Assistance: Assisting with project planning, organizing, and execution. This could involve coordinating schedules, ordering materials, and ensuring all necessary equipment is available.
• Documentation and Reporting: Assisting with paperwork such as contracts, permits, and other administrative tasks. Keeping records of project progress, expenses, and any incidents that occur on site.
• Communication Liaison: Acting as a point of contact between the contractor, clients, subcontractors, and suppliers. This includes relaying information, scheduling meetings, and ensuring effective communication among all parties involved.
• Assistance in Technical Tasks: Assisting skilled workers (carpenters, electricians, plumbers, etc.) in their tasks, which might include holding materials or tools, preparing work areas, or performing basic tasks under supervision.
• Problem-solving: Addressing unexpected issues that may arise during the project and assisting in finding solutions, collaborating with the contractor and team members to resolve challenges.
• Adherence to Regulations: Ensuring compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and other legal requirements throughout the project.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in various construction trades a plus.
• Proficient in using hand tools and power tools.
• Strong knowledge of construction techniques and materials.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Must have computer skills, and be comfortable with email and ordering systems.
