Recycle Sorter

• Location: Summerdale, AL
• Shift: Monday – Friday, 6:30am – 4:30pm
• Pay: $15/hr

✅ What You’ll Do

·        Sort and inspect recyclables (plastics, metals, paper, glass) from a moving conveyor

·        Maintain facility cleanliness (sweeping, raking, debris removal)

·        Operate equipment safely and efficiently

·        Identify contamination and ensure material quality

·        Assist senior technicians and equipment operators

·        Follow all safety protocols and wear required PPE

🧰 Skills & Abilities

·        Stand for long periods and lift up to 100 lbs

·        Sort 60–65 items per minute manually

·        Work around loud machinery and unpleasant odors

·        Read and follow basic instructions

·        Climb stairs, walk catwalks, and work in elevated areas

·        Maintain pace and multitask in a fast-moving environment

🧠 Knowledge & Requirements

·        Basic understanding of recyclable materials

·        Safety awareness for manual labor and equipment use

·        Willingness to wear full safety gear: boots, glasses, vest, hard hat, gloves, ear protection

·        Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
