Collector – Springfield, IL

Join a small, community-focused credit union where you can make a real difference! We’re hiring a Collector to handle outbound communication with members who are 15–30 days delinquent on loans. You’ll reach out via phone, text, letter, and email—documenting all interactions, following up on payment agreements, and managing repossessions or vehicle sales when needed.

What You’ll Do:

• Communicate with members to resolve past-due accounts (15–30 days delinquent)

• Handle outbound calls, texts, emails, and letters

• Document all activity accurately in the system

• Work with payment arrangements and follow-up commitments

• Manage repossessions and coordinate vehicle sales when necessary

What We’re Looking For:

• 2+ years of experience in collections, banking, or loan servicing

• Strong customer service and communication skills

• Extremely organized, with excellent follow-up and attention to detail

• Self-sufficient, motivated, and able to handle multiple moving parts

• Sense of urgency and ability to manage difficult conversations professionally
