Project Administrator – Construction & Recovery Support ($45,450–$60,000/year)

Location: Wailuku, Maui, HI
Job Type: Full-Time
Salary Range: $45,450–$60,000 annually (based on experience)

We’re seeking a Project Administrator to provide administrative and project support for the County of Maui Office of Recovery. This role is ideal for someone detail-oriented, collaborative, and experienced in construction or project-based environments.

Project Administrator Key Responsibilities

  • Facilitate incoming/outgoing correspondence and manage project documentation
  • Proofread and edit reports, proposals, and technical documents
  • Prepare reports, letters, and materials using word processing software
  • Maintain electronic and physical filing systems and document logs
  • Take and distribute meeting minutes; generate weekly/monthly reports
  • Support Inspectors, Engineers, and Project Managers
  • Maintain office supplies and perform general administrative duties
  • Answer project-related phone calls and assist with project coordination

Project Administrator Qualifications

  • High school diploma required; bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 2–3 years of administrative experience (construction industry preferred)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with SharePoint and Egnyte
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain confidentiality
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and able to work independently
  • Positive, service-oriented attitude and team player

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to sit for extended periods and use a computer
  • Occasional lifting/moving of up to 10lbs
  • Hand-eye coordination and ability to perform repetitive tasks
  • Standing, walking, reaching, and grasping as needed
