Technical Sales Support needed for an Abrasive Supplier in Amherst, NY!

 

Direct Hire Opportunity!

 

Pay: $55k-65k/year 

Hours: 8am-5pm/M-F

 

This position is responsible for supporting the day-to-day functions of our Value-Added Services, including project development, production, laboratory testing, etc., as well as helping with technical sales support.

 

Responsibilities of the Technical Sales Support employee:

• Work with the Technical Sales Director, the Production Manager & our customers to design and establish processes that will meet the requirements of our customers, as part of our Value-Added Services. These processes may include general screening, magnetic separation, crushing, blending, coatings, and more.
• Set up and run trials to streamline / optimize new process.
• Test physical characteristics of products in our labs. Testing includes, but is not limited to: Particle Sizing, Loose Pack Density, Tap density, Moisture Content, True Density, Surface Area, pH, and Conductivity.
• Interact with Customer Service and Quality Control regarding order fulfillment
• Aid in production when operations is short-staffed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

 

Required Experience for the Technical Sales Support employee:

• 2 or 4 year technical degree or 3 years of work experience in a related industry (mechanical, engineering, mathematical, trade schools, etc.)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Effective Problem Solving Skills & attention to detail
• Ability to interact technically with customers
• Ability to work safely in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to travel to other locations (different states)
• Ability to lift 55 lbs.
• Ability to drive a forklift (will train/certify if needed)
