Express is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to join our team! We’re looking for someone who is self-motivated, self-driven, and ready to take initiative in a fast-paced environment.

Schedule: Tuesday through Saturday, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Tuesday through Saturday

Location: Topsail Island, North Carolina

Pay: $19

Key Responsibilities

• Perform general repairs to facility structures, equipment, and systems (including lighting, plumbing, and minor electrical).
• Assist with preventive maintenance tasks and routine inspections.
• Support maintenance of floors, doors, walls, and restrooms to ensure a clean and safe work environment.
• Troubleshoot and repair minor mechanical issues with tools and machinery as directed.
• Perform basic carpentry, painting, and drywall patching.
• Maintain exterior grounds, including minor landscaping, debris removal, and walkway safety.
• Follow all safety procedures and company policies while performing maintenance tasks.
• Communicate effectively with the Manager of Facilities and Maintenance regarding maintenance priorities and completed work.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Preferred:  2 years of experience in general maintenance, facilities, or handyman work (industrial environment is a plus).
• Working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
• Ability to safely operate hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs., climb ladders, and perform tasks requiring standing or bending for extended periods.

• Work Environment: Manufacturing plant setting with exposure to industrial noise and temperature fluctuations.
