Position Overview:
The Tractor/Trailer Mechanic will be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing tractor-trailer units, with a focus on HVAC systems, brakes, suspension, electrical components, and general trailer maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain tractor and trailer systems, including HVAC/refrigeration units
• Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and DOT-compliant repairs
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues efficiently
• Repair or replace brakes, axles, lighting, suspension systems, and air systems
• Use diagnostic tools and equipment to ensure accurate repairs
• Maintain clean and organized work areas and detailed service records
• Follow all company and safety procedures at all times

Requirements:

• MUST have 2+ years of experience working on tractor-trailers in a professional setting
• MUST have experience with trailer HVAC or refrigeration systems
• MUST have own tools required for mechanical and HVAC repairs
• Strong knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, and air brake systems
• Ability to read and understand repair manuals and schematics
• Reliable, self-motivated, and detail-oriented
• Valid driver’s license (CDL preferred but not required)
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs. and work in various environments

Preferred Qualifications:

• HVAC or refrigeration certification a plus
• Welding or fabrication experience
• Familiarity with diagnostic software or fleet management systems
