Quality Manager

 

The Quality Manager is responsible for overseeing the whole Quality Department, including planning, coordinating, and directing the quality control program designed to ensure continuous production of products consistent with our established standards.

 

Job duties include:

• Create & maintain QAM & Procedures manual and ensure compliance of procedures in a cost-effective approach.
• Work with auditor during AS9100, NADCAP and customer audits
• Oversee the work of inspection personnel
• Administration of internal quality audits
• Complete Corrective Actions, including overseeing Corrective Action input as well as following up all on Corrective Actions
• Brainstorm and resolve day to day issues
• Present suspect issues to manufacturing management
• Communicate with manufacturing to resolve measurement discrepancies
• Oversee the calibration program
• Ensure safety within the department
• Ensure cleanliness within the department
• Participate in department meetings, including presenting topics for discussion, as well as communicating and giving and receiving input from the department
• Develop training plans for the department
• Complete customer desk audits
• Revise and coordinate company procedures with management representatives
• Investigate and address customer complaints
• Perform miscellaneous inspections at all levels
• Schedule department vacations
• Perform employee performance appraisals
• Hire staff for the department
• Procure equipment and supplies for the quality department
• Participate in managerial meetings and assignments as issued

 

Requirements include:

• Previous experience in Quality Control and Quality Management, at least 10 years preferred
• Previous experience running a department
• Previous experience in the aerospace industry
• Must be familiar with AS9100/AS9102
• Must be familiar with quality inspection at all levels
• Must be able to manage a team, including building team cohesion
