Material Handler Job Summary: A leading metal fabrication company in Grand Rapids is looking for an experienced and dependable Material Handler to temporarily join their team! In this hands-on role, you’ll play a key part in keeping production running smoothly—moving heavy materials, supporting multiple departments, and ensuring every part is in the right place at the right time. Material Handler Responsibilities:
- Drive sit down forklift
- 10 drop zones with 3-5 daily pick ups. Moving finished materials.
- Pull work orders for different departments
- Transfer material to different locations
- Assist Receiving department as time persists
- Insure accurate inventory by weighing/ counting all parts going into inventory.
- Participate in Continuous Improvement and Suggestion System as required.
Schedule & Pay:
- 1st shift 6am-2:30pm Monday-Friday. Overtime is voluntary
- $18-$20/HR
Material Hander Qualifications:
- At years 2 years of sit down forklift
- Must have a good mechanical ability.
- High school diploma
- Basic computer skills
- Excellent organizational skills and a mindset for continuous improvement
