Express Employment Professionals is partnering with a leading supplier of flat-rolled steel to hire a Steel Slitter Set-Up Operator. In this role, you'll set up slitting machines by positioning knives and spacers according to customer specifications, using measuring tools to ensure accuracy, and adjusting equipment to maintain product quality.

This opportunity is ideal for someone with previous machine setup experience, strong math skills, and attention to detail. Earn $23.79 per hour while working a consistent Monday–Friday second shift!

What You'll Do

• Set up slitting machines by positioning spacers and knives according to customer specifications.

• Use math skills and measuring tools, including tape measures and gauges, to ensure accurate machine setups.

• Operate and adjust equipment to maintain product quality and meet production specifications.

• Follow established procedures and customer requirements throughout the setup and production process.

• Maintain accuracy and attention to detail in a fast-paced steel manufacturing environment.

• Follow workplace safety procedures when handling materials and operating machinery.

Schedule & Pay

• Pay: $23.79 per hour.

• Shift: Monday–Friday, 3:00 PM–11:00 PM.

• Shift type: Second shift with consistent weekday hours.

What We're Looking For

• Previous machine setup experience preferred.

• Ability to perform basic math and use measuring tools accurately.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

• Ability to consistently lift up to 50 pounds.

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Steel-toed boots required.

• Must successfully complete a required drug screening and background check.
