Seeking an Experienced Carpenter Assistant

Location: Phoenix, AZ 
Job Type: Ful Time Monday-Friday from 6AM-2:30PM
Salary Range: $30-$35.00 Per Hour

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and intuitive Carpenter Assistant with 3–5 years of hands-on experience in residential and/or commercial construction. The ideal candidate is VERY detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of anticipating project needs with minimal supervision. This role supports the lead carpenter in executing high-quality builds, renovations, and installations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in framing, finishing, and installation of wood structures, cabinetry, doors, windows, and trim
  • Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and project plans accurately
  • Measure, cut, and assemble materials with precision using hand and power tools
  • Maintain a clean and organized job site, ensuring tools and materials are properly stored
  • Support layout and preparation of work areas, including scaffolding and safety barriers
  • Collaborate with team members to solve construction challenges intuitively and efficiently
  • Perform quality checks and ensure work meets specifications and building codes
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding progress and issues
  • Safely operate tools and equipment, adhering to OSHA and company safety standards
  • Assist with material procurement and inventory tracking

Qualifications:

  • 3–5 years of carpentry or construction experience
  • Strong understanding of carpentry techniques, tools, and materials
  • Ability to work independently and anticipate project needs
  • Excellent attention to detail and craftsmanship
  • Familiarity with safety procedures and regulations
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in various weather conditions
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or apprenticeship preferred
