Salary: $20-22/hr BOE

Express Employment Professionals is seeking a reliable Utility/Maintenance Associate to join a growing team at a local machinery manufacturer in Tonawanda, NY. This role is responsible for performing basic preventative maintenance tasks and assisting with shop support duties.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine preventative maintenance including:

  • Changing air and fluid filters

  • Cleaning machinery and equipment

  • Painting surfaces and touch-ups

• Manage facility cleanliness:

  • Empty garbage, recycling, and wood waste bins

  • Operate floor sweepers and floor cleaners

• Assist machine shop operations:

  • Help change chip bins

  • Support general shop organization and cleanliness

• Safely operate tools and equipment including:

  • Hand tools, Sawzall etc.

  • Forklifts and manual pallet jacks

Qualifications:

• Entry level maintenance experience required

• Willingness to learn and take direction

• Basic mechanical aptitude and comfort using tools

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

• Experience with forklifts or pump trucks is a plus but willing to train

• Familiarity with industrial cleaning equipment such as floor cleaners, sweepers, etc.
