Welder/Fabricator - Statesville.  $20/hr + based on experience

Seeking a skilled and experienced Welder/Fabricator. This individual will primarily be responsible for the fabrication and welding of structural steel products with a great deal of precision. The role requires proficiency in Flux Core Welding (FCAW), with other welding techniques considered beneficial.

Job Responsibilities:

• Qualified candidates must be able to pass an AWS weld test in the 2F position using FCAW to be a certified welder.
• Lay out, position and secure parts and assemblies according to specifications.
• Ensure all parts are fitted and welded correctly.
• Read weld symbols and check weld size using weld fillet gauges.
• Set machines according to procedure charts.
• Follow weld procedures as it applies to volts, amps & wire feed speed.
• Remove rough spots from workpieces using portable power tools.
• Heat material to required temperature using temperature sticks and heating torches/cutting torches (read and follow pre-heat & inter-pass temperature tables).
• Follow guidance and correct assemblies per quality control's instruction.
