Express Employment Professionals has partnered with a company in Wills Point to fill a Staff Accountant position!

 

Job Summary:

The Staff Accountant is responsible for supporting the day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and maintaining compliance with internal policies and external regulations. This role contributes to the integrity of financial reporting through timely journal entries, reconciliations, and assistance with month-end and year-end close processes.

 

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Prepare and post journal entries in accordance with GAAP.
• Reconcile general ledger accounts and resolve discrepancies.
• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes.
• Maintain records for accounts payable, accounts receivable, inventory and payroll-related entries.
• Maintain inventory records, physical counts, inventory schedule and maintain communication
• Support the preparation of internal financial reports and external audit documentation.
• Participate in budgeting and forecasting activities as needed.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support financial accuracy and operational efficiency.
• Other duties as assigned.

 

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and data management software.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

 

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum of two (2) years’ accounting experience.
• Working knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
• Familiarity with ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics, preferred)
