Our client is urgently seeking an organized and detail-oriented Paratransit Dispatcher to join their team. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in managing day-to-day transportation operations, ensuring riders are picked up and dropped off safely and on time. They will coordinate trips, monitor vehicle locations, and serve as the communication hub between drivers, passengers, and scheduling staff.
Responds to customer inquiries and needs in a timely manner. Serves as intake person for customer complaints/commendations.
Processes trip reassignments, route openings, insertions, extensions, etc. and issue resolutions.
Maintain regular communication with drivers to track progress and resolve issues
Provides excellent customer service to our clients, passengers and drivers
Manage changes, delays, or emergencies calmly and efficiently.
1+ year of experience in a dispatcher or scheduling experience (Paratransit or transit industry preferred)
Strong communication and multitasking skills.
Incumbent must be able to move about the office and between floors; utilize standard office equipment and access filing system/cabinets.
Bilingual (Spanish/English) a plus but not required.
