Test Technician

JOB TITLE:              Test Technician

 

DEPARTMENT:      Core Engineering

 

Role Reports To:       Test Engineer

 

POSITION SUMMARY:  Responsible for building and maintaining test equipment as well as performing interim and final tests on pumps.

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

• Building test equipment. Working from drawings, solid models, or verbal direction to construct test fixturing structure, wire, and pneumatic plumbing. Job duties include use of machine tools to cut, drill, and shape raw materials to meet design requirements.

 

• Tracking project progress and reporting out said progress to a plan or a report

 

• Perform engineering tests, follow procedures capturing relevant data as well as working with department resources on conclusions and findings

 

• Support continuous improvement, pilot, verification/validation, and project related activities focused on best practices

 

• Other duties as assigned by supervisor

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education and Experience:

 

1. Highschool Diploma
2. Associates or other related technical degree preferred
3. Experience in a technical role
4. Must be familiar with Word, Excel; basic information technology experience desired.
5. Fabrication and basic machine tool experience a plus

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

1. Computer literacy
2. Must be well organized and able to prioritize daily work
3. Able to handle multiple tasks concurrently and open to re-direction
4. Demonstration of good interpersonal skills to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships is required
5. Ability to manage complex pneumatic/hydraulic systems and assemblies
6. Machine tool, manufacturing machinery, or testing systems knowledge
