Position Summary:Responsible for the processing of swine from live animal intake through fabrication, following USDA guidelines, food safety standards, and facility procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
Stun, bleed, scald, dehair, and eviscerate hogs following humane handling and safety protocols.
Operate knives, saws, and other processing equipment to break down carcasses into primal and sub-primal cuts.
Trim, package, weigh, and label pork products for wholesale or retail.
Clean and sanitize work areas, equipment, and tools to meet strict hygiene standards.
Follow USDA inspection guidelines and maintain required documentation.
Work in cold, wet environments for extended periods.
Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient workflow throughout the production line.
Requirements:
Ability to stand, lift (up to 60 lbs), bend, and work in fast-paced, repetitive environments.
Comfortable with raw meat, blood, and exposure to strong odors.
Experience in meat processing or butchering preferred, but on-the-job training may be provided.
Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team.
Schedule & Pay:
Full-time, typically Monday–Friday (overtime as needed)
Pay depends on experience; entry-level and skilled roles available
