Woodworker/Carpenter

Enjoy the benefits of a small, locally owned company with seasoned employees.  We are looking to do an evaluation hire for a woodworker/fabricator. Experience in a carpentry or construction setting is required.

 

Job Title:  Woodworker/Carpenter

 

Hours & Wages:  M-Thurs. 6A -3P - Fridays 6A- Noon - $20 per hour based on experience

 

Job Duties:  

• Read blueprints and fabricate from them
• Troubleshoot issues that come up during the building process
• Fabricate walls, teller lines, nursing stations, and other items for commercial use
• Work with materials such as particle board, solid surface, laminate and veneer

• Produce and assemble custom products including: drawers, office furniture and cabinetry

• Set up and operate machines, including power saws

• Measure and mark dimensions on paper and lumber stock

• Establish customer specifications based on blueprints, diagrams and/or oral and written instructions

• Cut and trim product to specified shape and size using hand tools such as chisels and/or wood files

• Trim, sand or scrape surfaces to prep for finishing

 

Job Requirements:

 

 

• Use of woodworking tools - saws, routers, hand tools, etc.
• Excellent communication skills, good attitude and a team player
• Excellent work ethic
• Able to work overtime
• Vocation degree in woodworking is preferred
