Carpenter/Woodworker

Salary: $20/hr-$25/hr

We are a professional employment company seeking a skilled and creative Event Carpenter/Woodworker on behalf of our client—an innovative event planning company specializing in immersive, high-impact experiences. This role involves crafting custom wood-based pieces for a major upcoming event, including furniture, props, and decorative installations. While the primary work will take place in Frederick, Maryland, travel to California in February 2026 is required for on-site setup and installation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and fabricate custom wood pieces based on event concepts and sketches

• Build furniture, signage, scenic elements, and decorative structures

• Apply finishes and treatments to match event aesthetics

• Collaborate with designers and production teams to meet creative and logistical goals

• Assist with packing, transport, and on-site installation in California

• Maintain safety standards and ensure high-quality craftsmanship

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in woodworking, carpentry, or scenic fabrication

• Ability to interpret design plans and translate them into physical builds

• Proficiency with hand and power tools; CNC experience a plus

• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines

• Willingness to travel and work flexible hours during event setup

• OSHA certification or safety training preferred

Schedule & Commitment:

• Project begins in October 2025

• Travel to California required in February 2026 (expenses covered)

• Full-time hours during build and installation phases
