Die Cast Operator

Located in Sparta, MI

Salary: $17.50 - $19/HR

Die Caster Operator Summary: A West Michigan based company specializing in die casting with over 40 years of manufacturing custom engineered die cast components is seeking Die Cast Operators to join their team in Sparta on 1^st and 2nd shifts. Located just 20 minutes north of downtown Grand Rapids, the organization has been recognized as a Best and Brightest Company to Work for in the Nation. Die Cast Operator Responsibilities:

• Operates any die cast and/or trim press machine, as assigned, to cast a variety of aluminum parts.
• Visual inspection of parts
• Report defects or improper operations to supervisor
• Diagnose and perform minor repairs to die cast and trim press machines and robot gripper system
• Capable of repairing water, hot oil and minor hydraulic leaks on dies
• Ability to maneuver through touch screen computer on trim presses
• Capable of pulling and setting slides
• Completing production paperwork accurately

Schedule & Pay:

• 1st Shift, Monday – Thursday (5:00am - 3:20pm), and Fridays as needed (5:00am - 1:20pm)
• 2nd shift Monday – Thursday (3:00 pm - 1:20 am), Fridays as needed (1:00pm - 9:20pm)
• $17.50 - $19/HR

Die Cast Operator Qualifications:

• Must be able to withstand a hot work environment
• HS diploma or equivalent preferred
• Knowledge of basic math, reading and writing
• Ability to complete defect recognition training and follow quality inspection processes
• Ability to learn to troubleshoot and make minor adjustments/repairs to machines
• Must have excellent attention to detail
