CNC Beam Line Operator - Steel Fabrication

$21.00/hour | 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM | Mandatory Overtime Available

Join our steel fabrication team as a CNC Beam Line Operator! We're seeking an experienced operator to run our state-of-the-art Peddinghaus CNC equipment for structural steel processing. This role offers excellent pay and opportunities for overtime earnings.

Primary Responsibilities

• CNC Equipment Operation: Operate and monitor Peddinghaus CNC beam line equipment for precision structural steel processing
• Material Handling: Safely operate overhead cranes and forklifts to move and position steel materials throughout the facility
• Blueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and fabrication details to ensure accurate machining
• Quality Control: Perform steel identification and verification procedures before beginning machining operations
• Safety Compliance: Follow all safety protocols while operating heavy machinery and handling steel materials

Required Experience & Skills

• Steel Industry Experience: 1-2 years of experience working with steel fabrication or structural steel
• CNC Knowledge: Experience operating CNC machinery, preferably in steel processing
• Equipment Certifications: Valid forklift certification and overhead crane operation experience
• Blueprint Reading: Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and fabrication specifications
• Material Knowledge: Understanding of steel types, grades, and identification processes

Schedule & Compensation

• Regular Hours: Monday-Friday, 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM
• Overtime Schedule: 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM Monday-Friday, plus Saturday 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM when needed
• Overtime Policy: Mandatory overtime with typically one day advance notice
• Hourly Rate: $21.00 per hour with overtime premium pay
