Tractor Mechanic

Located in Fayetteville, NC

Salary: Based on Experience

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Tractor Mechanic to inspect, maintain, and repair tractors and other agricultural equipment. The ideal candidate will have hands-on mechanical experience and a strong work ethic, with the ability to diagnose problems efficiently and work independently or as part of a team. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues on tractors and farm equipment

• Perform routine maintenance, including oil changes, filter replacements, and brake inspections

• Repair or replace defective parts using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment

• Test equipment after repairs to ensure proper performance

• Keep accurate service records and communicate clearly with customers or supervisors

• Maintain a clean and safe work environment

• Travel to job sites for on-farm repairs, if required

Qualifications: 

•  1+ years of experience working on tractors or heavy equipment (more experience = higher pay) 
• Strong mechanical aptitude and diagnostic skills 
• Ability to read technical manuals and schematics 
• Physical ability to lift up to 75 lbs, bend, kneel, and work outdoors in various conditions 

Preferred Experience: 

• Hydraulic systems

• Diesel engines

• Electrical diagnostics

• Welding and fabrication

• Specific brands (John Deere, Case IH, Kubota, etc.)
