About the Role:We are seeking a skilled and reliable Trailer Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience working with 18-wheeler trailers, performing inspections, maintenance, and repairs to ensure safe and efficient operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Diagnose, repair, and maintain 18-wheeler trailers and related equipment.
Perform inspections, preventive maintenance, and safety checks.
Repair brakes, suspensions, electrical systems, and hydraulic components.
Conduct welding, fabrication, and structural repairs as needed.
Ensure all repairs meet DOT and company safety standards.
Maintain accurate records of work performed and parts used.
Collaborate with drivers and management to address equipment issues.
Qualifications:
Previous experience as a trailer or heavy-duty mechanic.
Strong knowledge of 18-wheeler trailer systems and components.
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
Welding and fabrication skills are a plus.
Valid driver’s license (CDL preferred but not required).
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
