A well-established manufacturing company in Springfield, IL is seeking an experienced MIG Welder to join its 1st or 2nd shift team. This role offers steady hours, a supportive environment, and the opportunity to earn production-based bonuses.

Schedule: 1st or 2nd Shift
Pay: $21 – $24/hour + potential monthly production bonus

Responsibilities

• Use MIG welding to assemble fabricated metal products efficiently and accurately

• Produce strong, consistent welds that are smooth and non-porous

• Follow established procedures using jigs and fixtures to ensure quality fabrication

• Operate welding equipment safely and report any hazards to the Welding Supervisor

• Maintain production output to minimize delays and support workflow

• Clean and maintain a safe, orderly welding area

• Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to ensure smooth product flow

• Assist others in the department as needed

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of welding experience

• Ability to lift up to 100 lbs. (and 50 lbs. regularly)

• Comfortable working in various positions, including kneeling, overhead, and lying down

• Ability to climb and work from ladders

• Proficient with basic shop tools

• Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English
