CNC Machine Operator (Laminate)

Schedule:
Day shift (7:00 AM – 3:30 PM)

About the Role:
Express Employment Professionals – Guelph is recruiting a CNC Machine Operator on behalf of a reputable, family-run company with strong growth potential. This is a day shift role with full training provided, where you will work closely with a senior operator to gain hands-on experience operating CNC equipment used for cutting and machining laminate materials.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate and assist with CNC machines focused on laminate material cutting and machining
  • Work with laminate products, including cutting, shaping, and handling materials to specification
  • Load, position, and secure materials on the machine
  • Perform basic machine setup, material preparation, and program selection
  • Use measurement tools (rulers, calipers, micrometers, tape measures) to ensure accuracy
  • Follow quality control processes and perform regular inspections
  • Handle general material movement, including lifting up to 40 lbs
  • Work on your feet in a fast-paced environment with bending, twisting, and repetitive motion

Qualifications:

  • 1–2 years of machine operation or CNC experience
  • Experience working with laminate materials is a strong asset
  • Mechanical aptitude and comfort working with tools and machinery
  • Basic understanding of CNC operation and controls (asset)
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow processes
  • Reliable, safety-focused, and a team player
