Express Employment Professionals is currently hiring for a Cook at a local client. The cook is responsible for preparing high-quality meals in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.. This role ensures all food is prepared in accordance with standardized recipes, health regulations, and safety procedures, while maintaining a clean and organized work area.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and cook a variety of menu items using standard recipes and procedures.

• Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies before and during service.

• Ensure food is cooked to the proper temperature, portioned correctly, and presented attractively.

• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas.

• Follow all health and safety regulations as mandated by local and state agencies.

• Assist with food prep for daily service and special events.

• Work efficiently during peak times while maintaining quality standards.

• Communicate with kitchen staff and front-of-house personnel to ensure smooth operation.

• Monitor food inventory and report shortages to management.

• Assist in receiving and storing food and supplies properly.

 

Pay: $12.00/HR - $14.00/HR

Schedule: 8:30am - 4:00pm ; Hours May Vary Slightly

Qualifications:

• Minimum 1–2 years of previous cook experience

• Knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.

• Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.

• Must be able to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds.

• Must be able to work in a hot, fast-paced kitchen environment.

• Food Handler’s Certification required (or ability to obtain one).
