About the Role

We are seeking a Universal Banker to join a growing team in Ottawa. This is a hands-on role that combines customer service, teller duties, and financial services support. You’ll be the first point of contact for members, handling day-to-day transactions while also guiding them through new accounts, loans, and other banking services.

Responsibilities

• Perform teller transactions including payments, deposits, withdrawals, debits, credits, and ATM balancing.

• Assist members with opening new accounts and loan products.

• Process and manage loan applications and approvals.

• Support monthly and quarterly tax filings, with training provided on required reporting.

• Learn and manage various state reports (the most detailed part of the role).

• Provide accurate, efficient, and friendly service while maintaining confidentiality.

• Ensure compliance with banking regulations and internal policies.

• Contribute to a positive, team-oriented work environment.

Qualifications

• Previous banking or teller experience strongly preferred.

• General accounting knowledge and comfort working with financial reports.

• Strong business and people skills; able to balance accuracy with great customer service.

• Detail-oriented, with the ability to learn state reporting requirements.

• Positive attitude and professional demeanor; enjoys working with people.
