Apartment Maintenance Technician

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Apartment Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining the safety, functionality, and appearance of our apartment community. This role includes preventative maintenance, responding to work orders, and assisting with property upkeep to ensure a high-quality living experience for residents.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliances, and general building systems.

• Respond promptly to service requests and complete work orders in a timely, professional manner.

• Conduct preventative maintenance to reduce emergency repairs and extend the life of equipment and systems.

• Inspect apartments, common areas, and grounds for safety and maintenance issues.

• Assist with apartment turns, including painting, minor repairs, and appliance checks before new residents move in.

• Maintain inventory of tools, equipment, and supplies needed for property maintenance.

• Ensure compliance with safety procedures, company policies, and local building codes.

• Provide excellent customer service to residents, addressing concerns with professionalism.

• Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours maintenance emergencies.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certifications in HVAC, plumbing, or electrical preferred.

• 1–3 years of experience in apartment, residential, or commercial maintenance.

• Strong knowledge of basic maintenance tools, materials, and safety procedures.

• Ability to lift 50 lbs., work on ladders, and perform physical tasks.

• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
